Timing matters more than most owners think

Buyers of company records do not buy evenly. They put out requests for specific kinds of records, fill them, and move on. When a request is open, companies that fit it get attention fast. When it closes, the same company can wait months. That is why the same archive can get very different answers in March and in October.

This meter is the Briggs Analytics view of where demand sits this month, by industry, based on the requests we see. It never names a buyer and it is not a promise of an offer. It is a read on timing.

What hot, steady and quiet mean

Hot means buyers are actively asking for records like yours right now. Steady means there is regular interest but no rush. Quiet means interest is light this month, which is a good time to get your records in order so you are ready when it turns.

Stay ahead of it

If your industry is quiet, ask for an alert. We'll email you when it turns hot.
