Your company may already own an asset that can create non-dilutive revenue.

Before you give up equity or take on debt, see what your company's operating history could be worth. Licensing income isn't a loan and doesn't dilute anyone.

Raising money costs equity. Borrowing costs interest and a personal guarantee. Licensing a copy of your company's operating history is a different kind of money: you're paid for records the business already created.

Several public programs publish what they pay. micro1 publishes tiers of $100K+, $500K+ and $1M+. Handshake publishes $100K to $4M+. Whether your company fits, and for how much, depends on headcount, years of history and the systems you run. That's what the estimate checks.

Tell your investors and your counsel. Some financing documents cover IP and data, and a license has terms of its own. It isn't guaranteed money, and it doesn't replace a round. It can be real cash that doesn't cost anyone a share. Public programs we monitor →

Questions owners ask.

Is this a loan?

No. It's licensing income for a copy of records the company already owns, under an agreement you approve. Nothing to pay back.

Will my investors care?

Tell them. Some financing documents cover IP and data, and your counsel should check before you sign anything.

How fast could money come in?

It depends on the program. Mercor says it pays by wire two to four weeks after the signed agreement. Handshake says 30 to 60 days after acceptance.

Do I need to send files to find out?

No. Briggs never needs access to your company's underlying records to determine whether you may qualify.

You spent years building it. Find out whether someone will pay for it.
