How this works
Four steps, about as many minutes.
- Answer eight quick questions.
- Get one of four company types.
- See what it means for you.
- Share your result if you like it.

The four types
The Quiet Goldmine. Years of history in your software, a team that writes things down and an owner who wants to keep the company. The kind of business buyers of company records look for, and the kind private equity overlooks.
PE Bait. Strong profit, a clean story and owners who get calls every month. Your records may be thinner than your numbers, and private equity is circling for the profit, not the history.
The Paper Trail Pro. Strong records and lots of years, but customer contracts or contractor work that need checking before anything moves. Usually fixable.
Not Yet. Younger, smaller or mostly on paper. Nothing wrong with that. Keep everything in your software from here on and check back in a couple of years.
Why it matters
Owners have more ways to turn a company's value into cash than they did a year ago. Selling to private equity is one. Licensing a copy of your operating records, while keeping the company, is another. Which one fits depends on what kind of company you have built.
Questions about this tool.
Is this scientific?
It is a quick, honest quiz built from what buyers look for. It is not a valuation.
What if I get PE Bait?
It means your profit is the headline. If you would rather keep the company, check whether your records could bring in cash first.
Is anything I answer saved?
No. Your answers are only used to pick your type.
What should I do next?
Each result has one next step. For most owners, it is the free two-minute check.
