How this works

Four steps, about as many minutes.

  1. Pick every system your company uses.
  2. See what each one lets you export and who has to run it.
  3. Every answer links to the vendor's own page.
  4. Get one combined export plan by email.

Your software holds your history, on its terms

Every job, ticket, invoice and project your team has handled for years sits inside a handful of systems. Most owners have never checked whether they can get all of it out. Some systems export everything in a click. Some only export the current year, or only to an admin, or only through a support ticket. A few make it genuinely hard.

This finder covers more than forty common systems, from field service and construction software to help desks, CRMs, accounting and legal tools. Each answer comes from the vendor's own help pages, linked under your result, with the date we last checked.

What to do with the answers

Start with the systems that hold the most years. Run a test export of a small slice so you know the process works and what format it comes out in. And if a system only exports through support, open that ticket now rather than when you are in a hurry.

When a system is not listed

Pick "Something else" and the plan will remind you what to ask that vendor. The questions are always the same: what can I export, how far back, in what format, and who has to do it.

Questions about this tool.

Does this connect to my software?

No. It only uses the systems you pick and each vendor's published help pages. Nothing touches your accounts.

How current is this?

Each answer links to the vendor's own page, with the date we last checked. Vendors change their rules, so confirm on the linked page before you act.

Why does it say check with the vendor?

Some vendors do not publish their export or cancellation rules. Rather than guess, we say so and tell you what to ask.

What format should I ask for?

Whatever keeps the most detail, usually CSV or JSON for records and the original files for attachments. A PDF report is not the same as an export.
