Side by side
| Program | Published reward | When it pays |
|---|---|---|
| Grepped | 10% of the deal, up to $100K | When the deal closes and the owner is paid |
| Mode (BizBuyData) | The greater of $50K or 6% of the company's payment | Once the licensing deal is complete |
| micro1 | Up to $50K | Revenue threshold reached, or data accepted |
| Scale AI | Up to $50K | Only if Scale signs a partnership. One referral paid per deal |
| Polyshares | 6% on top of the price, plus 1% on deals from brokers you recruit (Ryan Lock, Franklin Bryant) | On the same terms the company is paid, net 60 |
| Jottings | 25% of Jottings' fee on the deal (10% of the sale for intros before Oct. 7, 2026) | After the company's license money is received |
| Handshake AI | Referral page, no amounts published | Not published |
| SimpleClosure AssetHub | "Refer a founder" link, no terms published | Not published |
Example: on a $400,000 deal, Grepped's 10% would be $40,000, and Mode's terms would pay $50,000 because the floor beats 6% ($24,000).
How credit works
- Link first. micro1 and Grepped credit you only if the company fills in its form through your link. No credit after the fact.
- First intro wins. Jottings credits the first complete introduction on file. Scale pays one referral per deal.
- The company still has to qualify. A high estimate isn't a sale.

The one whose buyer will actually close that company. A 15-person law firm fits Mode (6+ for law), not micro1 (30+). A closed startup fits SimpleClosure. A 120-person software company fits most of them. Who each buyer takes.
Refer through Briggs Analytics instead
Every program only pays when its own buyer closes the deal, so a company sent to the wrong one pays nothing. If you know owners (as an accountant, lawyer, IT provider, banker or broker), send the company to us. We match it to the buyer that fits and pays best, and you share in the referral fee on written terms. How referring through Briggs Analytics works. Check your firm's rules on referral payments first.
Briggs Analytics is independent. Some buyers named on this page may pay Briggs Analytics a referral fee, and owners never pay us anything. Every figure comes from the buyer's own page or the source linked next to it, checked October 21, 2026. Buyers change their terms often, so confirm on their page before you sign. Disclosures
In short
- Grepped: 10% up to $100K. Mode: greater of $50K or 6%. micro1 and Scale: up to $50K.
- Polyshares pays brokers 6%. Jottings pays 25% of its fee.
- Every program pays only when its own deal closes, so matching the company to the right buyer is the whole game.
Questions owners ask.
Which AI data referral program pays the most?
On published terms, Grepped (10% of the deal, up to $100K) and Mode (the greater of $50K or 6%) pay the most. What you earn depends on which buyer actually closes the company.
Can I refer the same company to several programs?
You can introduce it, but only the program that closes the deal pays, and the company may sign an exclusive license. Pick the best fit first.
Do I need to be licensed to refer companies?
None of these programs publishes a license requirement. Accountants, lawyers and other professionals should check their own firm and professional rules on referral payments.
