micro1 wants records of how real companies get work done, so AI models can learn real jobs. Its data partnerships page lists operating documents (SOPs, knowledge bases, internal documentation), CRM data, project histories and QA processes, plus how teams make decisions. Industries named include engineering, finance, customer support, sales, legal and logistics.
You license a copy. micro1 says companies keep ownership of the underlying data.
What it pays
| Tier | What micro1 says it covers |
|---|---|
| $100K+ | A qualified enterprise data partnership |
| $500K+ | Large datasets, or ongoing work across several teams |
| $1M+ | Highly unique, proprietary operating data |
Pay depends on dataset size, how complex the work is, data quality, expertise and how unique it is. In September micro1 also filed a $12.5 million competing bid for Spirit Airlines' records (chapter11cases), which shows how seriously it takes this market.

Before anything is shared, both sides agree on the data scope, security standards and what gets removed. micro1 says it removes personal information where relevant, may rewrite some records so they keep the workflow but lose the link to the original, limits access to a small team on company-managed devices, keeps each customer's data in its own pipeline, lets you review samples, and deletes the data on request or when the work ends.
What micro1 does not publish
- A timeline. There is no published time from first call to payment.
- Exclusivity and license length. The page says terms are agreed, but does not say whether you can license the same data to anyone else, or for how long.
- How the price is set. Only the tier floors are public.
Ask about all three in writing before you sign. Exclusivity matters most, because an exclusive deal means you can only sell that data once. Exclusive vs. non-exclusive licenses.
How it compares
micro1 is one of more than a dozen buyers. Some take smaller companies (Mode takes law firms with 6 or more people), some publish bigger headlines (Handshake says up to $4M+), and some pay faster. micro1 vs. Mercor vs. Scale vs. Handshake and every company that pays for business data.
Before you apply anywhere, check your fit with every buyer first. Once you apply to one buyer you are in its process. Our estimate takes about a minute, never asks for a file, and tells you which buyers your company fits. It costs nothing. See which buyers fit your company.

Its company data program asks for 30 or more employees. Some other buyers take smaller firms, like Mode for law firms with 6 or more people.
