Every figure is from the buyer's own page, checked October 22, 2026. "Published" is the key word: a buyer with no timeline on its page may still move fast, but you can't hold it to anything.
Before you apply anywhere, check your fit with every buyer first. Once you apply to one buyer you are in its process. Our estimate takes about a minute, never asks for a file, and tells you which buyers your company fits. It costs nothing. See which buyers fit your company.
Why speed and price pull against each other
The fastest payers are the ones that read a sample and decide. The highest published tops (Mode's $5M, Handshake's $4M+) come with longer review. If you have time, the number should decide, and the number comes from which buyer's model needs your kind of records. If you need the money this month, speed decides, and the table above is the whole answer.

Grepped and Pewter are built for that. Pewter says it takes open or closed companies, and three other buyers take closed companies too. Export the records before anything gets cancelled: what to export first, by industry.
What to ask before you sign
- When exactly does the money land, and what has to happen first (sample accepted, de-identification done, agreement signed)?
- Is the offer binding, or a letter of intent that can change after review?
- Is the license exclusive? A fast exclusive deal can only be sold once. Exclusive vs. non-exclusive.
- Who pays the broker, if there is one? With Pewter and Briggs Analytics, the buyer does. Jottings takes a success fee out of the deal (typically 5% to 7.5% of the sale on its referral page).

Briggs Analytics is independent. Some buyers named on this page may pay Briggs Analytics a referral fee, and owners never pay us anything. Every figure comes from the buyer's own page or the source linked next to it, checked October 22, 2026. Buyers change their terms often, so confirm on their page before you sign. Disclosures
