How much do AI companies pay for business data? Every published figure, on one page

Short answer: the buyers that publish numbers quote $100,000 to several million dollars for a company with 30 or more people and a few years of records, and the smallest published deals start around $10,000 to $20,000. An anonymous tracker of offers (aidata.broker) put the median offer at $336,000 across 97 figures reported between Aug. 13 and Oct. 19, 2026, with the middle half between $176,000 and $650,000. The buyer sets the final number after reading a sample. See which buyers your company fits.

An anonymous tracker of offers (aidata.broker) put the median offer at $336,000 across 97 figures reported between Aug. 13 and Oct. 19, 2026, with the middle half between $176,000 and $650,000. The same tracker lists only five reported closed sales of company records (Feb. 2024 to Oct. 2026), with a median of $31,600. Five is too few to mean much, but it is the reminder that an offer is not a closed deal, and the number you are quoted is not the number until the money lands.

What to do first

Don't apply to the first buyer whose ad you saw. Once you apply, you're in that buyer's process, and some won't credit a later introduction. Check your fit with all of them first, then pick. Every figure above is the buyer's published number, not an offer, and the buyer sets the price after reading a sample.

In short

  • Published ranges run from $10K to $5M. Most buyers quote $100K and up for 30+ people with a few years of records.
  • The reported median offer is $336,000 (aidata.broker, 97 figures, Aug. to Oct. 2026).
  • Years of records, connected systems and the record of how work got done move the number most.

Questions owners ask.

What is the average payout for licensing company data to AI?

The only public tracker (aidata.broker) shows a median offer of $336,000 across 97 reported figures from Aug. 13 to Oct. 19, 2026, with the middle half between $176,000 and $650,000. Published buyer ranges run from $10,000 to more than $5 million.

Which AI company pays the most for business data?

On published terms, Mode ($100K to $5M), Grepped (estimates to $5M) and Handshake ($100K to $4M+) publish the highest tops. The highest offer for your company comes from the buyer whose model needs your kind of records, which is why we check all of them.

Do small companies get paid?

Yes. Scale publishes $10K at the bottom of its range, Grepped $20K, Replay $10K to $100K for 20 to 50 staff, and Mode takes law firms with six people.

Is the published range a guarantee?

No. Every buyer prices after reading a sample of your records. The ranges are what each buyer publishes on its own page.
